Upper Elementary School students can use Weebly for class, group and individual projects as well as for student portfolios. Lower elementary classes can use Weebly with their class account to create shared group or class websites. Here are some examples of using Weebly in the AAS Elementary School: Gr2 Class Project: Authors; Gr3 Portfolios; Gr4 Class Progect: Art&Peace. Teachers can use their Weebly class account to set up a class blog or a class website. Teachers also have access to the AAS Weebly for Education Admin Panel from where they can create and manage student and class accounts. Student PortfoliosMany schools have been moving from traditional paper-and-pencil type portfolios to alternate forms of recording and evaluating student work. The traditional student working portfolio, known as a simple file folder containing paper samples of student's work, is being increasingly transferred to an electronic portfolio format to increase flexibility in terms of accessibility and reliability. Electronic portfolios allow for greater and more authentic collection learning evidence such as text, images, multimedia, electronic files and hyperlinks. They are assembled and managed by the students, usually using a Web Authoring software or environment and can be maintained dynamically over time. Electronic portfolios can be used for learning and assessment and to provide evidence of student achievement. They can facilitate students' reflection on their own learning and improve student metacognition.
